Weekly Monitoring | ISIS Attacks in Iraq Reporting Period: 19–26 July 2025

Syria Monitor for Strategic Research Center has released its weekly monitoring report documenting the most significant ISIS-attributed attacks across Iraq between 19 and 26 July 2025. The assessment is based on field monitoring, open-source intelligence (OSINT), and a multi-source verification process.

During the reporting period, ISIS-linked incidents were recorded in Nineveh, Anbar, Kirkuk, and Diyala Governorates. The attacks included improvised explosive devices (IEDs), armed assaults, targeted shootings, and attacks against security personnel and civilians, resulting in fatalities, injuries, and material damage.

This weekly assessment aims to monitor ISIS operational activity in Iraq, identify the geographical distribution of attacks, and analyze emerging security trends. It forms part of Syria Monitor’s ongoing effort to provide independent, evidence-based security assessments for researchers, policymakers, and media organizations.
